The world is a very complex place, full of mystery, bewilderment, adventure, and creativity. Our world is far from perfect. Wars wage between countries who only seek to be mutually understood, people harm one another for no justifiable reason. And then, there’s aioli, and instantly, the world makes just a little more sense.

Confused? Here’s what you missed from the news yesterday

Tropical Stormy Daniels Now Rated “Mild Shpritz”

President Donald Trump has, once again, bested the American legal system. On Monday, a federal judge decided to dismiss adult film star Stormy Daniels’ defamation lawsuit against the President. Daniels sued Trump after he tweeted that her story of a man threatening her not to come forward with her alleged affair with the President was a farce.

Daniels lawsuit against Trump was based on her belief that Trump’s tweet “attacked the veracity of her account” of the incident and that his statements were “false and defamatory, and the tweet was defamation.. because it charged her with committing a serious crime.”

District Judge S. James Otero, in the official statement of the case dismissal, said:

“The Court agrees with Mr. Trump’s argument because the tweet in question constitutes ‘rhetorical hyperbole’ normally associated with politics and public discourse in the United States. The First Amendment protects this type of rhetorical statement.”

While we may never know the truth about what occurred between President Trump and Ms. Daniels, we are now witnessing, on a consistent basis, the President be placed on trial and leave all proceedings without a scratch. Curious, very curious.

Little Prince, Little Prince From England

Yes, everyone is talking about the royal gestation period for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Kensington Palace officials announced the couple is expecting their first child on Monday.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019…Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”

The gender of the baby will soon be announced, and I believe a list of witty baby names are in order.

  1. The baby eventually known as “Prince”
  2. Sparkle Markle
  3. The Fresh Prince
  4. Prince
    1. Of Egypt
    2. Of Persia
    3. Foot —>

5. Nugget (would just be cute)

Two Koreas and The UN Walk Into A Bar

The newly united Koreas (North & South) sat down with the United Nations Command (UNC) for the first time on Monday to discuss demilitarizing the border as the two Koreas push for peace, according to Reuters.

During last month’s summit in Pyongyang, the two Koreas, unofficially “Korei,” agreed to form a “tripartite consolation” with the UNC to facilitate their plan to disarm one of the world’s most “heavily fortified frontier.”

As an initial step to ending the conflict, the two countries are halting military exercises, enforcing a no-fly zone near their border and the “gradual removal of landmines and guard posts within the DMZ.

How does one remove landmines faster than gradually? Just food for thought.

The End Of An Era

After fighting a valiant battle with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma, Paul Allen, the co-founder of Microsoft passed away on Monday. Allen was an entrepreneur, investor, innovator, and a “remarkable individual on every level,” according to Allen’s sister, Jody Allen.

Allen, in partnership with Bill Gates, founded Microsoft (MSFT) in 1975, after the two met at their school in Seattle. Allen left the company in 1982 after he was diagnosed with the cancerous disease, CNN reports.

“I am heartbroken by the passing of one of my oldest and dearest friends, Paul Allen…Paul was a true partner and dear friend. Personal computing would not have existed without him.”

  • Bill Gates Co-founder Microsoft

Though Allen left Microsoft, he did anything but slow down. He remained on the board of directors, purchased the Portland Trail Blazers and Seattle Seahawks, and donated more than $2 billion to charity.

There is something to be said about good people were taken from this life too soon. They brought so much good into the world while they were here, that much of who they were lives on in the people they’ve impacted.
