Please enjoy the next hundred or so words of stream of consciousness from my mind…There’s truly never a bad time to eat grocery store California rolls. When you think about it, and really let the thought ruminate in your brain, you might arrive at the decision that eating white fish blended with mayonnaise from the deli counter at a Von’s is actually a delightful experience. Granted, I have an issue and find myself indulging in this meal, or snack, about one to two times per week, on average. I truly can’t help myself, it’s really satisfying. Sure I get looks from other customers because I throw each piece down by throat without so much as a chew. Yes, I sometimes get “sushi lock.” Oh, what is ‘sushi lock’ you may ask? It’s that thing where you eat too fast and feel like you’re going to choke on whatever it is you just ate which, in my case, is usually a grocery store California roll.

Here’s what you missed in the news yesterday.

Hey, Now Give It Back….Good Boy!

Remember earlier this week when White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders saw to it that CNN reporter Jim Acosta had his press pass revoked by US Secret Service because he criticized President Trump? Well, CNN didn’t appreciate this very much and threatened to sue the White House if they didn’t return Acosta’s credentials. As for the reason his pass was confiscated, during a news conference last week, a White House intern tried to take the microphone from Acosta while he was speaking directly to the President.

Secretary Sanders accused Acosta of putting “putting his hands on the young woman,” at which Mr. Trump called Acosta a “rude, terrible person.” Several media outlets proved that Acosta did nothing to harm this White House intern, and after stress and deliberation, a Washington DC district judge ordered the White House to return Jim Acosta’s press pass to him immediately.

“If they [the press] don’t listen to the rules and regulations, we’ll end up back in court and will win. But more importantly, we’ll just leave, and then you won’t be very happy.”

A Lannister Always Pays Their Debts

Several months ago journalist Jamal Khashoggi entered the Saudi Arabia Consulate in Turkey, hoping to get paperwork officiated so that he could marry his fiancee waiting outside in the car. He never returned to his bride-to-be because he was murdered by a 17-person Saudi hit squad, and his body dismembered. After several rounds of investigations conducted by both the Saudi and Turkish Governments, five people are now being charged with the death penalty for the killing of Khashoggi.

Additionally, the Trump administration announced on Thursday that sanctions would be imposed on 17 individuals who were connected to the horrific attack.

“The Saudi officials we are sanctioning were involved in the abhorrent killing of Jamal Khashoggi. These individuals who targeted and brutally killed a journalist who resided and worked in the United States must face consequences for their actions.”

Steven Mnuchin, United States Treasury Secretary
